Secure Your Legacy with a Revocable Living Trust in Central Florida

For many families in Winter Garden, Clermont, and The Villages, the goal of estate planning is simple: ensure your loved ones are provided for without the stress, cost, and public exposure of Florida Probate court. A Revocable Living Trust is often the most effective tool to achieve that peace of mind.

At Marissa Petillo Law, we specialize in crafting personalized trusts that protect families across Orange and Lake Counties. Whether you are raising a young family in Windermere or enjoying retirement in The Villages, a trust ensures your wishes are followed exactly as you intended.

Why Central Florida Families Choose a Revocable Trust

A Revocable Living Trust (sometimes called a "Living Trust") is a legal document that allows you to maintain total control over your assets during your lifetime while providing a seamless transition for your heirs later.

  • Bypass Florida Probate: Assets held in a trust do not go through the court-supervised probate process. This means your family can access their inheritance in weeks, not the 6–12 months typical of probate.

  • Privacy for Your Family: Unlike a Will, which becomes a public record when filed with the court, a Trust remains private. Your financial affairs and distributions stay confidential.

  • Protection Against Incapacity: If you ever become unable to manage your affairs, your Trust names a successor trustee to step in immediately—avoiding the need for a court-appointed guardianship.

Serving Our Local Communities

We understand that every neighborhood in Central Florida has unique needs. Marissa Petillo Law provides tailored legal guidance to Winter Garden, Windermere, Clermont, Ocoee, The Villages, & all Central FL:

  • Helping families manage real estate and investment portfolios with clear, enforceable trust structures.

  • Specializing in legacy planning and asset protection for retirees who want to simplify their estate for their heirs.

The "Funding" Difference

A trust is only effective if it is properly "funded"—meaning your assets (like your home in Lake County or bank accounts in Orange County) are correctly retitled into the name of the trust. We don't just hand you a stack of papers; we guide you through the funding process to ensure your plan actually works when your family needs it most.
